About Me

J.B. Stone (he/they) is a Neurodivergent/Autistic slam poet, writer, and critic from Brooklyn, NY now residing in Buffalo, NY. He is the author of three chapbooks; A Place Between Expired Dreams And Renewed Nightmares (Ghost City Press 2018), INHUMAN ELEGIES (Ghost City Press 2020), and Fireflies And Hand Grenades (Bottlecap Press 2022). He is the Editor-In-Chief/Reviews Editor at Variety Pack, a flash prose reader at Split Lip Magazine, and a Fiction Reader at Uncharted Magazine. Nominated for both Best of the Net & Best Small Fictions, their writing has appeared or is forthcoming in over 70 print and online publications including BlazeVOX, Atticus Review, The Citron Review, Flashflood, Peach Mag, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Flash Fiction Magazine, Noctua Review, Chicago Review of Books, Star*Line, Frontier Poetry, and many more. His work has also appeared in a number of anthologies such as MANSION (dancing girl press 2019), These Poems Are Not What They Seem – A Tribute to Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (apepublications 2020), Poets to Come: Walt Whitman’s Bicentennial (Local Gems Press 2019); Pact Press: Changing Tides (Pact Press-Regal House Press 2020) among many others as well. They have competed, showcased, and featured their poetry across the globe, from a lights festival in New Zealand to winning poetry slams in Guelph, ON, Canada, as well as a multiple-time champion in Buffalo, NY to representing Buffalo, in Pure Ink Poetry, at the Southern Fried Poetry Slam, one of the largest regional poetry slam festivals in North America. He’s taken their expertise to the classroom as well, having been part of workshops at multiple high schools, youth programs, and college campuses.
